im currently attempting to finish off the wiring on my 1.2 howver all wires match up except two,

on the 1.6 loom ive got a yellow and brown and a blue shown in the picture below... then on the 1.2 loom ive got a solid brown and a brown and red...

How the fudge do i match these too the 1.6 loom, if you cant tell i purely have no idea what im doing.

the blue is either from the throttle position sensor OR the coolant temperature sensor, haynes says theres 2 blue wires??

the brown/red goes to the fuel pump relay on the 1.2 , and should connect to another brown/red from the 1.6 ecu

the yellow/brown goes into the engine fuse box

the solid brown is an earth

but to be honest i dont know 100% so i wouldnt go for that until you got comfirmation off others, in case its wrong and it blows up

No at the end suposidly the dude left early and apprently i just needed to connect a few wires up and it would work.... and it doesnt ... not even dash lights or anything...

Wiring is a pig on the 1.2 16v Engines , I heard they have entirely different wiring looms to anything else. Makes conversions a right pain in the ass.

Is that the only bit of outstanding wiring on the whole car? Ignition Coil? All Fuses intact etc, Fuel Pump? The X16XE ECU has a built in Immobiliser too...

yes its all wired up , Even with the immboilliser interior light etc should still work.

sorry dude not to sure on this one, ask on Mig as already suggested or VXLScc (sp) watever it is if ure on there.... some1 will be able to help soon enough... u sure u jus aint missing an earth or power feed thus causing them all not to light up.... thats what is weird is that its all of em not jus this or that

I have power dash lights alarm etc , starter motor is trying to start, just need to sort out these wires in the footwell and get a new crankshaft sensor then hopefully it wil start.. thanks to Broster for the help, bloody positive wire was hideing.

well it doesnt actually start yet, so i dunno mate cause the EML light is always on , isnt it . like on second click of the key

OK. I know that the X16XE has an Immobiliser in the ECU. That could stop the engine firing, and just make it turn over.

Nah mine doesnt have a immob cause its of a pre immob thingy ma jig lol, ive got another ECU anyway with chips , Plus, we havent wired up those wires in the footwell yet
