the engine management light come on before but the cars still run fine and i cant see any thing wrong. iam gettin a computer on it this week hopefully but any one got any ideas

sometimes the light will come on with a fault that can be erased and then never come back it only takes something silly like a miss fire and it will turn it on and it will stay on

Mine has came on this morning, a 1.2 8v P reg. it won't go off but my car runs fine too.
I have just had a MOT done bu8t it flew threw that, could it be that the light has now came on because they were fiddling about?

Just rang me uncle's mate and he says the eml can be reset after turning the ignition on and off 30 times on a corsa. Is this right? Apparently if it don't work hes going to set the computer onto it?
