Author paperclip test, need a little help

ive just tried doing the paperclip test my car is a 95 corsa sri with a 99 corsa sport engine, ive put the paperclip in the right holes but the engine management light dosent come on at all with the engine running or not.
any ideas i need to find out why my car keeps dying on me when i put the clutch in and why the engine management light keeps coming on.

who fitted the the engine. was the diagnostic wires connected up?

cant do the paper clip test on post 97 cars....

about your cutting out problem... is your speedo working?

yea but they have 16 pin plugs instead and the fault codes are different on some

no i dont have a speedo, and it had the engine already fitted when i bought the car

^ your car is cutting out becasue of this and it will give an intermitant ECU light
