ive heard they should start c20xe ...... bla bla bla but mine dont it starts with c but rest of numbers are nout like ive heard should be so did some vary

ill get em but cant be different blcok engine came from k-reg 2.0 16v sri even got pics of it being taken out

right got it struggled to make it out on engine but from what i can read it somat like

G4 062 JV 687** it either start with g or a c at start

sounds like you're looking in the right place.
and northampton is quite a way away to just check an engine number.

take it to your local vaux and get the parts desk man to step out and take a quick look for you.

well if its a warranty number where would engine number be, and yes ive wet and dryed the area so it can read clearly

same place as yours is. engine number ground off and this 'warranty' number stamped on instead. Actually, ive got the car with me today at work, so i'll go see what it says in a bit.
