ok heres the story....
me and a few mates decided to go anglessy camping, so i thought £20 will get me there and probbally all the way back, considering its only 60-70 miles from me... so i got to anglessy after about 60 miles and ....ran out of petrol as you can imagine i was quite pissed off that £20 only got me 70 miles at the most, as it was steady 70mph driving!
so...what could be causing the overfuelling problem?
Ta
Russ
oh btw i checked for leaks, couldnt smell anything, or nothing set on fire when i went waving a lighter about around the fuel tank/lines
oh and btw #2 my car seems to when trying to keep at a constant speed say 70 mph the car judders quite heavily every now and again, like if i keep tapping the throttle very quickly for a few seconds, to stop this happening i either have to let off the throttle or put my foot down, but not for long, it just stops it for a while and just waits till next time!

I was chuffed with mine. This weekend ive been Leeds & Manchester from Nottingham. With 4 in the car + ICE and luggage 90% motorway miles at 70/80 I got 305 miles to £33 worth of petrol and its a C20XE!
Chuffed, amazed at what a massive difference motorway miles make...
Ive recently changed CTS and thermostat and it did make an improvement but 70 miles to £20 is wrong!! You sure you havent got a leak somewhere? It must be smoking at that?

Checked my spark plugs today and they were blacker than something really black!! cant think of somthing really black but if you saw em you would use them to describe somthing really black!

If you have an 8v engine then its on the left hand side of the inlet.
16v its in the thermostat housing just follow the big "S" water hose out of the top left of the rad and yes it looks like the one in the pic
