your airbox sounds like mine on the 1.4 this pic should help a few confused people

1.cold air feed
2.the red tube
3.warm air feed
4.warm air inlet

which part does the screw go in?

is it safe that the engine will get no air???

number 2 the engine will get air as the engine bay isnt exactly sealed, you can leave part 1 in thats the cold air feed from the front of the car also you can now add another cold air feed if you want by getting some ducting and pointing one end at the filter and the other at the cold air from behind the grill

yes it does. then just poke it round the back of the engine making sure it cant get caught on anything moving

into the end u take off from the round thing... u could cut it iff u like, then get a new 1 if u decide too sell the car as standard again. i jsut foun a fat screw too put init

yes, it does nothing if u have an induction kit, its not a breakther if u pull it off u will see its just goes too the manifold as a hot air feed. defeats object if u having an induction kit

i dont get how the screw can work? i puuled the red wire off the flap thing and taped it up
