Paying £900 fully comp on my modified 1.4 16V corsa sport, this surely can't be right as I've been driving 3 years with no prangs no accidents an no points on my license, its all due to the CO OP insurance fucking up on a computer error so I'm ringing them monday to kick some fucking ass then I'm gonna get my boys from the local mods garage to tune the engine to 200bhp already paid so holdtight the turbo is the next mission peace an happy cruising peeps.

Why didn't you ring around and find out who was the cheapest to insure you before you actually paid for it?

Also a 1.4 16v to 200Bhp is an achievment? What are you planning on doing to get this sort of BHP?

I did ring around actually mate an at the time co op seem'd the cheapest until i discoverd TESCO's I've just been robbed thanks to a computer error.

As for engine mods well high lift cams for a start new prototyped induction kit custom built and also chipped with various tweaks here & there by my main man jamie who used to work for courtenay tuneing an tune raceing engines put it this way £500 can get you along way from 90 - 200 bhp you know it makes sense.

Actually it doesn't seem to make sense, i don't believe you can get to 200Bhp with high lift cams, an induction kit and chip, TBH with them mods you'll probably have about 100Bhp.

I've already got 90 bhp mate the induction kit alone increases 15 bhp an hes doubling the horsepower with various tweaks an tinkers replaceing most parts of the engine as its pretty fucked from the snapped cambelt I'm not really up on inside of cars so I can't really tell you but just trust me on this I've been out in a standard rover that was tuned an fuck me sideways it was a killer increase compared to what it was before the problem wasn't speed it was slowing the fucker down.

I'm sorry but you are talking out of your arsehole, an induction kit doesn't increase it 15bhp, more like 1.5 if you're lucky

most I reckon too for a NA 1.4 would be just touching the 150bhp mark, with TB's, custom mapped ECU, cams, full performance exhaust system, decatted, etc etc etc...

200bhp with a turbo possibly, but with regular rebuilds

Well you will just have to see when he's finished tuneing then wont' ya anyways I've already got a full de cat performance exhaust system so all he has to do is fit the new induction kit replace the cam an chip & re machine the head job done the turbo is the next mod after this but I think i might just stick with 200bhp I won't really need turbo to be honest keep the insurance down yet still kick ass

Listen, you won't have 200Bhp from you're 1.4 16v. You will tell everyone that you do, but they will just laugh at you when you go home.

14XE engine standard = 88bhp
induction kit = 6bhp at most
cams = 10bhp at most
bit of headwork = maybe see another 3-5bhp at most
chiped ecu = smoother acceleration & maybe 1-2bhp increase in power

looking at around 105bhp if your lucky & if the mods are well matched...

200bhp isn't possible with those mods.

at the end of the day if your the kind of jealous fella the kind that scratches someone elses motor because you know it looks better than yours yet ya just too lame to admit it to yourself well then get real yourself because where there's a will there's a way I've been out in there tuned motor's rover/civic/pug/jag & saxo so i know I'm right on this as for turbo'd that would just be frightening however once engine is complete I'll get some pictures for your sad ass then if your still not satisfied you can always be the big man and come down for a race I don't mind infact its all good.

Yes i am really going to scratch your corsa when it probably is a 1.2 8v with 14" fox rims and neon washer jets.

Your car might look better than mine, well done.
