i think a sealed (enclosed) box would give more heavy bass but if your happy with the sound your getting at the moment just stick with the ported but bear in mind ported box's need to be made slightly bigger

*awaits ice no it all to correct*

think sealed will give a more defined sound in the bass. Port will produce more volume and deepen the bass, but the sound will be slightly more 'loose'.

what kinda bass u after?
Defined/clear or Loud/Deep

Sealed boxes are smaller and more suitable to dance type music, where its more tight punchy bass which you're after.

Ported boxes are better for low, deep, rumbly bass and are greater in size(volume) and will move more air, thus result in being louder. BUT ported boxes are more difficult to 'get right'. Cos the port has to be the correct dimensions for THAT sub in THAT size box.

Asides from all of that, I find that those subs sound GREAT in sealed boxes. If I owned them, I'd use them sealed .

as the corbmeister said.. use sealed.. I have had both ported and sealed boxes and found that i prefer the sealed types.

Plus with Alpine subs sealed box's would sound boss...

GO FOR IT
