What do i need to get? Cable only needs to be 1.5 metres long, and its going from a mac book pro to a HDMI slot on the TV?

is it a new Macbook pro (black keyboard), or an older one (silver keyboard)?

then you'll need this:

http://www.kenable.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=1509

The older macbooks use DVI-I

You'll also need an audio cable to connect to the telly from the headphone output.

3.5mm jack from the Macbook to either 3.5mm or stereo phono (depending on the TV).

Should be perfect.

Just make sure the audio input settings are set up on the telly as you can usually swap the audio between the PC and HDMI inputs

Oh NOES!! I knew this would happen.

The Macbook pro must have a mini-displayport then dammit.

You can either send the last adaptor back and exchange it for this, then you can still use the audio cable you bought:
http://www.kenable.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=2207

Or you can send it all back and get this one, but then you'd need an HDMI to HDMI too:
http://www.kenable.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=3415

The benefit of the second one is that it sends the audio via USB and combines them both to an HDMI output.
