I found out my EGR valve was sticking causing my car to cut out and chug, so i unplugged it while it was open for the time being and it seems to run fine - is it ok to run the car like this?

exhaust gas recirculation valve, behind the inlet manifold on xe engines

on my 1.4 corsa a couple of years ago this happened.

did an engine flush & oil change and it worked fine.
