Before x-mas my rear n/s drum piston was slightly leeking.

Well as i went to maccy d's with me mam and bro as i went round a round-a-bout i noticed the handbrake light was on. So i checked it and it was off. few seconds later it twigged, low brake fluid.

Pulled over and its sat on minimum

I need to know is it a hard job to replace the leaky piston? As im a little cautious about anyone driving it at the moment as i thought the brakes were shite anyway lol

Thanks to anyone who replys

I did mine! Was easy enough! Whip the drum off, take it all apart and replace the wheel cylinder then put back together!

Thanks Phil, How long would you say it takes?

Woudl it be easy enough to take off a corsa in the scrappy then assemble onto my car?

I shat myself whilst driving home lol hoping my brakes would carry on working

It's only a cheap part mate - buy it new. I drove mine until it failed the MoT with it. Just filled the brake fluid up every few weeks

You need to ask for a Corsa Rear Wheel Cylinder.

Its all fixed now Phil, thanks for your help. Apparently there was oil all inside the drum.

Went for a drive with the old handbrake on

Dont ask me lol my grandad did it. Could do with bleeding though regardless. Went out for a short trip and they're working. How much is it for the brakes to be bled?
