Fucking hard to replace are nt they, got a few questions managed to get the assembly back together & on again, i ve only done one side so far, but my brakes feels fucked when i depress the pedal.

Can you give some tips on setting them up also can i asjust the shoes cause their constantly engaged / rubbong agaist the drum wall.

The springs are all connected up, theres an adjustable bar which sits between the diaphram with an adjuster (bolt) on it, should this be as long as possible or as short possible any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

u havent put them back together properly if they are constantly enguaged. push the pistons in then put it back together. sounds like the self adjusting mechanism isnt put back right.

I ve sorted it jus want to confirm the above

when you press the brake the self adjuster plate turns the bolt thingy & changes the travel then the self adjuster plate should return to its normal place correct ?

sounds about right, you shouldnt depress the brake pedal with the drums of though, thats how cylinders split.

you should hear it clicking a few times when first done. the drum should be fairly easy to turn but with some resistance.

1. u will know if its split cos brake fluid will start pissing out

2. the clicking stopped because they have adjusted properly.
