just had (in last 5k miles)

new gearbox
new starter motor
new drive shaft
new engine mounts

gettin new rear brakes (discs, calipers etc) at this very moment in time

just picked it up from garage, had fitted:

2 new calipers @ £88 each
2 new rear brake discs @ £50 the pair
2 new rear wheel bearings @ £45 the pair
2 new rear brake pads and fitting kit @ £30
brake hoses front @ £18

labour costs @ £155

miles are roughly average for the car's age, but i understand wot u mean bout buying a car with over 100k on the clock

incidentally, it has had all sorts replaced that are the things that go with age:

cam belt was done in last 9k miles
gearbox in last 6k
engine mounts
starter motor
front and rear brakes

ive got receipts for over 4k for this car so its always been maintained to a high standard
