after the car warmed up if i put up clutch in an stop the car revs up by it's self how do i fix it cheers richy

sounds like idle control valve to me???
i could be wrong though wait for someone else to confirm

yes was the Icv On my 1.4 when it did that

mines done it once
when the icv gets warm can get very sticky and cause this
best to whip it off and give it a clean

yup ICV mine has done this once or twice when hot.
Its annoying when your sat in traffic and it decides to do it after you pull away and your left sitting at the lights at 2000rpm looking like a muppet.
whats best to clean it with? will WD40 do the trick?

wd40 is oil based mate so wont do a very good job at all.Id use carb cleaner.

ICV is externally attached to the inlet and controls the throttle opening, spraying it down inside the inlet will do nothing...
take the thing off, clean it proper while off, then just give it little coating of wd40 and re-fit...
