IM GOING TO REMOVE MY IDLE CONTROL VALVE AND CLEAN IT DUE TO REVVING PROBLEMS ON MY C20XE.
PLEASE LEAVE INFO ON REMOVING AND CLEANING.

Dan its just 2 jublee clips and a plug! Get yourself a haynes. I'd dump it in petrol or use carb cleaner on it and ensure its totally dry before you fit it back.

it located at the bottom of ther inlet manifold under the fuel rail and inlets to cylinder head its about the size of a fun size tin juice and as TOMAS said it two jubilee clips and a plug doodle to get out !!

Is it easy to get to or do you have to remove bits off the engine???

no providing the hose clips arent pointing the wrong way ir should be a dodle to get out it in behind the inlet manifold u should see it if u look between the inlets of the manifold

Just fitted a c20xe last week and when i started it, it would rev up and down...
Cleaned ICV and now its ticking over better....MUCH better infact....

ive just got down there, unpluged it and all, but the clips are facing the wrong way! how can i undo them?

help pleasse! asap
