Just thinking about this..... would be an interesting topic, let alone project!

I've read some threads about on Mig.... just would like to hear other opinions/experience

Take 1 corsa....
Take 1 c20xe/let and mount it longways in the middle/rear. Mounts can be fabricated to extensive cage maybe
Take 1 manta 1.8 gear box and rear axle and 'bodge' to fit

Any hints on super short propshafts. Mounting a manta rear beam at the rear? How low would the engine need to sit, what angle to get it to mate up to rear axle etc?!?!

Do it properly, spend the £8k on a Quaiffe transaxle gearbox... Mount it up using some double wishbone rear suspension and there you have it, a Corsa that will kick the shit outa a lot of cars out there.

if your going to spend a heap of money buy a subaru or an evo. Cage uo the corsa, then cut the floorpan out. Shorten and narrow the evo/scoob and fit it underneath. For the amount of time.work/money involved Id just buy a newer evo tbh.
