The bit that sits on the manifold, can that be removed or do you just wack a bolt or something similar in that hole ?

Still blows air out of it though Mark.
I cut a bit of metal the shape of a pear with a hole to fit a bolt in, then screwed the bolt through the hole and into the smaller hole with thread in.
Worked perfect.

shouldnt blow air out of it anyway, air gets pumped into it! if you disconect the vacume the valve wont open anyway. robmarriotts is done this way and is fine
