Is the lip meant to be on the outside...to stop the belt from coming off??

Cheers

can't remember to be honest. bout £40 i think.

i'd just be concerned about the corrosion chafing the belt.

might be bets leaving it.
i took one out of an '87 engine last week which must have still been the original, and had to hammer it out through the pipe inlet that leads to the water rail.

yeah its on the right way around....

ps... theres no point in changing a timing belt and not changing the water pump rollers and tensioner...

what engine is it?

Water pumps are about £20 for those engines, I have to smack mine out with a hammer and a block of wood, like Myke described...
