I have a 97 1.4 sport....since i bought it 2 yrs ago, it has done this jerkin business on light throttle and its startin to do my head in.

i have tried the usual remedies, blocked off egr, removed air pump and cleaned the ICV. Does anyone have any ideas please?

Gotta piper x on it...still did it with the standard airbox.

so its always done it?

when my 1.4 did it i spend so much trying to stop it ended up scrapping the engine and going for the 1.6 lol

yeah its always done it but just lived wit it...but its got a little worse just recently and want to sort it

no just on when holding it on very light throttle

Guessing at AFM or butterfly in the carb could be sticking.

Check plugs, leads, dizzy cap and rotor if u got 1.

mine is 16v so different engine.
