had the car 8 months or so and finally got round to fixing a few things and times to sort the alarm.
Its the standard alarm they fit on SRi/GSi models. its a grey box near the bonnet pull. I set the deadlocks and the led comes on and starts flashin as it should. If i test the alarm buy starting the car up thru a open window the grey box just ticks and sounds likes a relay is switching (like indictors) but the horn doesnt sound or indicators come on.
Is it something as simple as a missing fuse?
and whats the use for deadlocks i can still open the door if im pulling up on the catch and door handle at the same time? (also sets the relay off)

lift up bonnet and standing in front of it look to the top left corner, should be a plug in there that is connected to alarm sounder, make sure its still plugged in
is hard to get to, is almost beneath the bonnet hinge

had a look saw the horn? but according to haynes that should be were the bumper is? its has a grey plug socket connected to it and looked fine?
any ideas?
