Drill it where there are no connector pins. Trust me - if you try anything else you will wish you had.

Even drilling is an arse. I hate routing wires to doors!

Perfectly safe. If you have a look at the end of the plastic plug you will see that there are connector pins in some places and none in others-just blanks. Drill where there are no pins - DO NOT DRILL THROUGH PINS!!

An auto electrician would do it but they would also charge you £40 for the privelege probs!!

The next issue is feeding it through the rubber hose - not easy. (Or you cut a slit in it and run it down the outside with the aid of cable ties!)

Essay over.

Ah y not, i drilled through the live for the electric window motor on mine LMAO.

Sparks were flying i can tell ya.

But no honestly AVOID the pins, it is a right bitch of a job tho, especially when u put big wire thru, like the 12 gauge i used, 16 gauge would be much simpler, i neeeded to drill mighty big holes in mine.

Its a nasty job, good luck matey!

thats corsasri16vs old corsa - but ive done the same - I didnt take the door off - i drilled on the angle;
nb/ remember to paint the bare metal edges and remove the swarf - Ive fitted a grommit as Mark has above - theyre about 15p from a good car accessories shop

I did this cause I wasnt confident with drilling through the pin connections

dont need a rubber gromet , even a bit of insulation tape around the hole so theres no sharpe metal . I just drilled mine and put a blob of silicone in , its a fucking pain in the arse tho, i took the stop pins out in the door to get more room in the end

If you're using tape I'd throw a few layers on its not as durable as rubber. The door obviously moves a lot so its got to be done right.
