ive got my sysstem sounding mint but theres to mucch bss ive got the bass on the head unit turned down to -8 but its still loud....
what can i do to get a bit more mid and treble

is there a basss control switch on your amp? i presume you have an amp!

bass is good mate, u can never have too much bass
but if its just not thumping and making a droning noise, then rhater your amp is shagged, or you've not tuned it up properly.

Best bet is to turn the treble up on ur head unit if the bass is already down on your hu then turn the gain down on the amp which is running the subs then it should sound sweet..
