If SWP is still at Chelsea n the next year / 2 years then lets see how much he improves, especially now Duff has gone.

If he doesn't play much this year then yes I will agree that he was wasted at Chelsea and should of moved to another club or stayed at City.

He is a superb talent and I was gutted that he wasn't at the WC.

End of banter - Back to West Ham & Tevez

you do make me laugh Greg

How do you expect him to improve when he plays 10 or 20 minutes every other game

Feel sorry for the lad

2/3 Years ago we all said Lampard is crap, west ham done well to sell him he isnt good enough for England he is fat over weight blah blah blah.

Even I thought the same.

Now look at him, scores 20 goals a season from midfield, controls the midfield and is an England International.

it's football banter

There was nothing else to say about Tevez and West Ham, Ollie summed it up with his insightful link

SWP was about to sign for Arsenal... Vieira was sold to this end... Chelski bid £20m after our bid of £12m... Wenger was completely priced out of it... Chelsea didn't even want him

He is still a cock though as he should have left by now :S

I reckon Roman/Chelsea have something to do with it. They stay at West Ham for a year and then move to Chelsea. Watch this space

As I said earlier.

Football is a wicked sport, we love our teams and we stick to our teams. We will all disagree on many things but thats the fact of life.

We also had a bid accepted for him according to Ian Wright of around the 12mil mark.

Id hate it if the same thing happened to Liverpool as to Chelsea.

Yeah I'd love to win the Prem and buy the best players in the world, but it just wouldnt feel the same as winning things the hard way. Bringing in youth players, and taking risks on up and coming players. Just going out and spending 100's of millions isnt winning things to me, its just buying them.
Thirded!

SWP has probably been told that he will feature for Chelsea in time.

Otherwise I would expect him to moan like Gallas and want to leave (which is fair enough if your not playing)

so either....

1) He has been told that, which could be true now Duff has gone

or

2) He is on crazy wages which nobody else could match and he is quite happy sitting on there bench, chilling out, getting paid loads in London (near his dad) and not getting injured (which i doubt although I expect he earns alot)

Missing the point. Fat lampard joined a long while before abramovic started buying the whole world for the sake of it, swp probably won't get the same chances given the amount of players he is fighting against and the fact he was bought so arsenal didn't get him.

he is past needing world class coaches and facilities, he needs to play top flight games to get his football brain to that level. That'll be the diff between him being a good or great player, and IMO he has gone backwards since joining you.

PMSL! SWP sitting there thinking "glad I'm not getting injured?"

sorry just have to laugh at that... it really does highlight what i was saying earlier about players not loving the sport enough. Though I doubt it is true in SWP's case.

Exactly, top class coaching and training will not get him a spot in our national squad will it? Unless roman buys him that too, sure some of the FA would gladly take bribes considering how they acted over sven

Thats why i said (which i doubt) Dave.

Players do think that though, they are happy collecting the money and then going home to play on the ps2 etc.

Wrong I know but thats the way it is.

Totally agree, thats why I said that if nothing happens in the next year or 2 then he needs to move on. For himself and also the next WC

another 2 years on the bench at Chelsea?

I hope for his sake he doesn't choose that option. It's obvious he can't get into the team there on a regular basis and like i said it's not his fault. He should move on to perhaps a lesser team and prove himself again.

Yep, It all depends on the formation Jose plays and if Chelsea get any Injuries. It's a bit easier for him now Duff has gone though.
