 bit of an update....

Fee is sitting around 4th in the Club Pro table after 6 rounds. Brands and Cadwell werent the best results :/ hey ho - keep going.

Car has been getting slowly changed over the year to try and get these shite tyres to work. We made so many changes to the car over the winter (assuming decent tyres) and plain and simple the chassis is just too ridged now.

the new ARB's are now off, rear OE arb is disconnected, swapping TX box to a known working version. Softer rear springs etc.

The rear end is just wild!

fat bast car

update time:

This TA season wasnt the best.... Fee could have had 3rd in the championship at the finals last week but she didnt make it Too busy with work.... and that was even with the Wallace Performance guys planning to take her car down and her flying. She had to be in the office at the weekend. I suppose work has to come first

Next weekend sees Fiona and the car make its first 'real' racing debut. Door to door racing in the Scottish Saloon car racing series. She entered into the top class (A or A1 i think). She may have to remove some of the TimeAttack aero pish though

Link to SMRC - http://www.smrc-uk.com/ or http://www.smrc-uk.com/championships/sports_and_saloons/index.html

This is the same series that Andy Gallacher's Focussuususus and that forever crashing orange lambo raced in last year eeeek. Some pretty serious machinery

Got some new tyres..... Pirelli P Zero slicks and full wets. Will use Toyo 888's if its damp/light rain I think.

It'll be on Motors TV at somepoint too.

Testing on Sat 8th, Qualy/practice and 2 races on the 9th (sunday) i think.

UPDATE:

After a bit of a disasterous trackday for Fee the winter mods have started! (gubbins of the lift pump had just given up!!)

Fuel tank, floor and some extra metal has all been chopped out.
Fuel cell and roll over valve ordered
new battery ordered.

How filthy are the rear lights
How much weight are you saving with the boot mod?

i'd guess about 10kg if it all goes to plan

80l fuel tank out - maybe 8kg
3 x fuelpumps out - 3kg
swirl pot - 5kg
floor and other metal - 5kg

so say 20kg out

New tank, new floor and new pumps maybe 10kg

tank fitted, foam filled and roll-over valve'd, 044's arrived so just waiting on inline filters and then WP guys to plum it in.... I'll then tidy it all up and perhaps spray the inside of the boot white

tank sump sunk into floor

roll-over valve, drilled tank and fitted to rear left

foam - its only half full of foam (height wise).... do you think it should be foam to the top?

straps in place

tank plummed up, pumps wired and all remapped again. Still the same figures as expected Thanks to Wallace Performance.

both sides are like this... will need to see how it works out on track with no swirl pot/lift pumps feeding the 'push' 044's

rear exhaust section wrapped to keep heat down. Will cover pumps/tank sump etc too

edited the rear a bit.... one of those 'what now' moments going on

New transfer box fitted too. N01 upgraded TX race clutch pack from RK tuning.
