i read up on the subject... extending below the wing gives more downforce (cleans up the turbulent wake of the wing)

nope, apparently not. I thought equal - so drilled to spread 50/50 as per earlier pics. Then did some more reading and read about tests here - https://wiki.rit.edu/display/03045514020112/44C+-+Project+Decription+-+PD

so shifted them down but still an increases on the top too

Ah thats interesting..

One says 125mm is best the other says it just goes up gradually with the deeper plate.

Hmmm.

I need new end plates, mine are about 20mm from under the wing lol.

Apparently having uprights stops the high pressure air from escaping over the sides.

Tbh i think that you want them even up and down but there will become a point where its causing more drag than necessary.

small updates

Wallace Performe Gearbox subframe spacers for OS Giken OS88 sequential

New rear uprights - just waiting for delivery so not on the car yet. Will reduce height a few mm and move the wing chord in a bit from the current position, i.e more 'upright' uprights!
Thanks to Live Lee for doing the CAD drawings and Gav for the cutting

Big Gay Endplate on wing with current skinny uprights

Semi-clean car! Front wing repaired, re-wrapped (Vinyl Cut), bumper refitted and new splitter on.

some vbox logs from the test session with the new sequential. Actuator pressure and taking it easy, but the trace shows that its much quicker through the gears
