Apple fans anxious to know when the next iPhone is coming out may want to circle Sept. 21 on their calendar. That is the date when Verizon Wireless employees will begin a vacation blackout, lasting through Sept. 30, a trusted Verizon employee told TechCrunch. Earlier rumors have said that Apple will announce its next iPhone on Sept. 12, and release the new handset roughly a week later.

We now know when it will be out - i dont, however

i have got some inside info though, internally everyone is calling it the iPhone 5 (

) and it will be LTE capable but IIRC not in UK in the short term as only compatible with 800MHz apparently (god knows why but this is what ive been told to tell our board)

thats all i gots at the mo. as i say, we know when it is out as one of my stakeholders knows and keeps winking at me about it but he's not allowed to say (for obvious reaosns!)

im not personally convinced about the LTE thing as seems utterly ridiculous that it wouildnt work with both/all bands of LTE i.e. 800/1800/2600 but im being told this is accurate by said person from before. im off today but have to re-write next week so may have more info then

Any good?

I played on my mates Galaxy (new one, dunno whether 2 or 3?) which is android, and found it quick, but that was it, was far too big. Still dont know what phone to get, hoping the new iphone is decent, so i can keep all my apps and shizzle.

Yeah I hate those 4.3inch screen phones. I like it, it's not without it's little quirks but it's a really good phone

Imagine the NDA that anyone who knows about the new phone would have to sign.

I can't see it being any more than a couple of people at voda at the very most and they certainly won't be giving hints to anyone.

majority of our exec committee know as well as relevant CEOs and SCM people so I'd expect it's well over 50 people but yeah quite, the NDA would be ridic. DOnt get me wrong, we wouldnt be given detailed tech specs im quite sure, just pertinent network data, hence knowing about the LTE thing

no one out of apple will know what its called. its the 6th iphone and thats all we know, why people insist on shortening that to iphone 5 i still dont understand. to avoid confusion and to fit in line with ipods and ipads it will just be called iPhone
