I need to upgrade my phone this month.

I just phoned up O2 and the best offer they can give me on the N82 is:

Keep existing tarrif (12 months) which is 800 mins & 1000 texts for 30 a month (should be 45) and the phone will be £89.99

Now I dont want to pay for the phone and I want to carry on with the existing tarrif. Whats my best plan of action?

Do I phone up and request my PAC code? Will they then give me what I want or will they give me the code and leave it a few days then phone me saying I can have it for free?

No contracts anywhere near as good as mine

Just call O2 retentions, theyll lick your arse to keep you

As said before, we can't match that deal due to the texts really

I have been on websites and no other provider can match what I am on at the moment.

And the N82 is exclusive to O2 which kinda makes it harder

good deal

O2 are cunts tho, and impossible to bargain with ive found. Im guessing its just about how much u spend, im never more than £25 so they probably dont give a fuck about me

Try the retentions see what happens

Just say you will leave the company as youre not happy with the contract and upgrade. It will work 99% of the time

But if it doesnt you could end up without your good rate contract if you actually put your money where your mouth is hehe

I was hoping someone may know someone who works in retentions so they could tell me how far I could push it

I think I will phone up and ask for my PAC code later on, see if that scares them

When they give you your PAC code does that mean you HAVE to change networks?

I have heard differently.

Mate says that they are only valid for 30 days and dont automatically end your contract

you dont have to use your pac code, but if you dont your current mobile phone service will continue.

once a pac is used, your service terminates with current provider
