Author O2 giving away free phones to PAYG customers?

O2 just phoned me up to say because I top up so much they are going to send me out a free phone (Nokia 3220)!

Definately O2 that phoned me as I got 2 text messages from them while I was on the phone; one to say thanks for talking to us and the other one to say your order will be sent out within 7 working days!

I said to them is there a catch etc. they said no it's because I top up so much they want to thank me for being a valued customer by giving me a free phone up to the value of £100!

Plus I think they are going to give me £2 free credit as well.

Anyway else get this recently?

I think if you don't want another phone you can have the £50 credit instead.

Suppose you could just wait for them to call you? They rang me the other day and I told them I didn't want a new phone (I was at work and couldn't be bothered talking to them there), then they rung up again today (I'm at home) so I thought fuck it, if they wanna send me a new phone just for being their customer then let them!

I only top up about £10 a month as well, mind you I spent about £60 on credit in January when I was in Australia, maybe that had something to do with it?

Oooh I have topped up £30 this month doh they hate me tho I still have there K700 which was meant to be on contract but is now being used with a PAYG sim (at least it's o2 tho )
