Went past a speed camera today doing about 40mph in a 30 zone.
Not sure if the camera was real or not since neither of my mates nor I saw it flash.
Anyways, if it was real, what am I looking at?
I gotta 7 month old license with no prior offences.

ooooo truvelos dont flash cause their infrared, You deffo wont get banned, 3 points and £60 deffo though IF it got you
cameras have tollerance on how accurate they are, they take your speed +
10% of the speed limit +2 mph
so in a 30 this means 35
If your on a corsa speedo that are generaly read 10% under you would have been doing 37 were you seen 40 ( you may have been a tad under 40 on your speedo)
Then again there may have been no film in it ( ive been flashed 2wice and had no follow up )
Just dont worry about it and dont do it again

Yeah, I didn't notice the camera was even there until I'd already gone past it. It was kinda hidden.
Not sure the exact speed I was going but I looked after I noticed the camera and was going around 37 - 40mph then. May have been going 35 or less when going past the camera.
Fuck, I hope it didn't get me.
I got enuff money problems, don't need another debt I can't afford to pay *sniffle*

It wasn't facing me, hence why I didn't see it. It had a tree right behind the back of it, covering it from my view.

If it was a truvelo and it wasnt facing you (ie he camera was looking at you and your front numberplate)then you will 100% fine.

if you have your licence for under a year (i think) and have 6 points then you will have your licence taken off you and forced to sit a another theory and practical test. My mate got banned in half an hour, speed camera got him going down a hill doing 40 and got him going back up 30 mins later doing 37.
but thats just what i call unlucky

Yeah. I'm sure I won't get banned since I don't have any points on my license right now.

How long does it take for it to come thru about whether you've been caught out or not?

In Australia you're looking at 2 weeks or thereabouts... sorry to hear about it mate...

My boss got caught speedin but only a few mph over. So she got offered to go on a speed awareness course but that cost £85. So it depends what you think is more important points or money. With your licence bein only 7 months old if u get the option take the course for an exta £25 other wise if u get caught again ur resittin ur test m8.
Just hope you haven't been caught, good luck.

There is a truvelo in dartford that does the rear. Looks very much like a truvelo anyway.
