gonna be re painting and re tiling my kitchen soon. I want to change the splashbacks and floor tiles but would it look weird if I used the same tiles for both?

Depends what they looked like IMO.
I can't imagine larger floor tiles looking too great on the wall or smaller ones on the floor though...

I've done a bathroom before when the vertical border went over the floor and back up the other wall. Looked fantastic but it only worked as they were simple porcelain tiles

Tiles instead of skirting boards is a trend I'm liking a lot ATM

If they did a matching wall tile or cut floor tiles very neatly into a smaller size I think it'd look good, but I like matching themes.

Skirting board in bathrooms looks shit anyway. Previous owner left them in our bathroom when doing it up. Looks crap.

What about the same tiles in different sizes? I've used three sizes of the exact same finish tile in my bathroom and (imo) it looks great.

I'm not keen, don't think red looks that good against the wood.

Agreed, the red would only really work against white/black gloss.

Go for some plain white bevelled ones IMO (white grout though)

My mum has her kitchen almost exactly the same as your post (red). Its ok, in fact its not bad, but it doesn't help what was already a north facing room to look very bright.

Bit too heavy going imo.

I quite like it tbh.

We have white tiles, the same ones A2H posted with poloshed black floor tiles and red (dulux raspberry bellini) painted walls. It does feel a bit dark though.

Our kitchen is at the front of the house so doesn't get the sun. If it was at the back (south facing) then I think it'd be much better.

Those 'metro' tiles are really nice (the rectangular ones that look like bricks)
