Nothing to do with size Robbo, although bigger does mean more text on the screen at one time. The screen is also completely different, you can't read on a phone for more than 5 minutes.

I was the same Marc, they are cheap enough to give it a try now so might as well.

Don't get me wrong, I like the idea of having a whole library on a device like this. I just like material possessions!

Yes please let me read some 500 page book off an uncomfortably small and bright screen which gets glare on it... ... infact due to page size it'd probably either be tiny small text or 1500 pages when scaled to an iphone... wow - sign me up.

Reading books, journals or anything like that on an iPhone isn't that great. The screens on Kindles are fantastic however.

I'd say I prefer a book, but if a book is a tenner, you buy 10 books, the kindle has already paid for itself with the ability to get free books.

If I was feeling flush this christmas I would of got one of these for my parents, instead they got 20 quid each on vouchers for waterstones

The sort of books I've had to buy in recent times have been £20ish... 5 books and kindle has paid for itself. Plus they are heavy and you dont want to take them anywhere.

Also there's loads of books I've always wanted to read, but never got round to / e.g. 'The 4 hour work week', 'The game', 'the 4 hour body' and others.

Thought I'd give an update on this.

Absolutely brilliant bit of kit.

Got through a good few books now, you forget that it isn't a physical book pretty quickly.

I've also read a lot of things I wouldn't have otherwise, just books that I'd probably never go into a shop and buy.

I'd definitely recommend it.

Got mine today, really impressed.

Still find it disappointing that eBooks are barely cheaper than their physical equivalent.

I know you can download torrents but I'm not a big torrent user.
