An iPad, not sure how the whole thing works, just remember a friend getting 10% or more off a new laptop a few years back.

Can you ask her if she can get discount?

I can supposedly get up to 17% off apple products as a Royal Mail employee, but I'm guessing it'll be on shit stuff, not macs or iPads etc... I'll see if I can find the info for it.

yeah looks as though it's still £429 for the cheapest, same as anyone can get anyway by the look of it

I get a discount through my work and as well I think you can get discount through any University, as said though you need to be on a network through University to access the page(s).

I'll find out my work discount on Saturday

The company I work for purchases through: http://www.mccdigital.com/

Unfortunately anything that I purchase has to be registered to me, if I could I would and would make a nice slice on goods

You only get discounts via the cashback scheme on iPod Touches now. Though that offer runs out at the end of the month. Everything apart from Macs and Macbooks comes up at full price, or for some reason a penny more expensive, on the educational store.
