Hello Guys

Can anybody help me out please?

The release cable on my corsa has broke and I cant open the bonnet, Ive tried pulling the cable as hard as i can with mole grips but this doesnt work. Ive got the car on Axel stands at the moment but cant seem to find the catch to release the bonnet. Can it be done this way?

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

can you poke something long throught the grill to push the catch, or break the grill if you really have to there cheap to replace about a tenner the non v chrome ones. or get grips on end of cable a tug.

im not exactly sure which part of the catch im meant to be pushing. I dont have a picture and havent opened the bonnet for ages so cant remember what it looks like. Ive just tried rapping rope around the spring and pulling it but it doesn't seem to like it

the little slot above the hole you can just see the bit you need to push this to the right this is what the cable pulls to open.
