the little slot above the hole you can just see the bit you need to push this to the right this is what the cable pulls to open. | |

im not exactly sure which part of the catch im meant to be pushing. I dont have a picture and havent opened the bonnet for ages so cant remember what it looks like. Ive just tried rapping rope around the spring and pulling it but it doesn't seem to like it | |

ive tried grips of the end and it wont budge. Ive tried with a long screwdriver but cant seem to lever it open | |

can you poke something long throught the grill to push the catch, or break the grill if you really have to there cheap to replace about a tenner the non v chrome ones. or get grips on end of cable a tug. | |

Is there any way of removing the front grill without smashin it off? | |

remove front grill, screwdriver to push catch to the side. | |
