Hi basically i have a 1.6 sport corsa. I was racing a mate on a "private road"  and as i was nearing the limiter in 4th it started to sound as if it was misfiring? I changed to 5th and sounded as if it was still missing. my car has the standard catalyst on & a k&n Filter. my manifold is also blowing, do you think it could be anything to do with the above?

Fuel filter maybe?
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

Surely you'd fix the known problem (manifold) before doing anything else? Even if it's nothing to do with it, just to rule it out completely.

fix the manilfold, change the plugs - service it...
then address any fueling issues if you still have a problem.
