i've bild c18xe smallblock. i have crankshaft (nominal) and oil pump from z18xe. all partss are new, bearings, rings, pistons ect.
but oil pressure is to high. on low revs (850) and cold engine it's allmost 4bars, and on warm engine with oil temp 100 *C it's about 2.8bars, max press is 5.2 with 6000rpm, over 6000 it dropps to 5 bars sa the max is ok. during breaking-in the engine oil was mineral 20W-50, and now it's motul 300v 5W-40
is this min value of pressure normal, i think it's to high. in opel TIS there are 1.5 bar with low rpm and warm engine
who checked oil press in c16xe or z18xe??
