It can be super quick, but then it can be super slow too. It's going to be good.

I'm running one of my test machines on it untill i move my main pc to my new house.

Spec is:

AMD Athlon XP+ 2200
512mb Ram
GeForce FX 5500 256mb

Tried vista on it previously and it ran poop.
I now have the Ultimate version DVD with all updates to September 2007 (This month) and it runs very sweet!

Plays World of Warcraft, HL2, CS..etc all fine aswell

Just ordered a 1gb stick though to give it a bit more "umph"

Recommended. Will be even better once the Service Pack 1 is out

I use Vista as my main OS now, and have no problems with it.

deffo 2gb min i dont recommend anything less, but overall vista is good not had any issues with it apart from trying to navigate trying to find things that were in vista (that they have moved)

I think SP1 is out soon for it too

2GB Ram minimum... you having a laugh?

Got it running spot on, on the test machine with 512.
Even put it on my laptop with 256mb to see what it would be like, still ran good!

I'd say minimum 512mb for Vista Ultimate with All updates
^^ Will also play games smooth with 512mb as my previous post!

Installed it, found ATI Tray Tools wouldnt run and uninstalled it again, without ATT my PC sounds like a jet fighter taking off, i will be staying with XP until it actually gets some sort of support from creative, ATT and runs at the same pace as XP and lets me use WMP10, i hate 11 . May seem like nitty gritty issues but they are my issues, altogether it looks like a good OS, will probly give it another go in a year

The Creative Vista support is much better than it was.
Windows Update has drivers for some of the cards, and Creative's site has most of the others.

ATT is the most important point there though, even if i could use my creative card, wmp10, and vista ran faster than XP if i couldnt shut it up i still wouldnt be using it hehe
