I know you can copy XP boot up disks that install it on your computer, Can you do this with vista?

Nice cheap way of getting vista i reckon?

or simply download it like most other people with working windows update.

Ive had it installed for about a month or so now.

Yeah i was going to download it but its a couple of gig, and i dont have the speed to get that living on an island doesnt have that much advantage, think am getting like 512k!

does a 'aquired' copy actually work? I would have thought with all the new secuirty and stuff they would have stopped it

Yeah it worked perfectly. I changed back to xp though as I wasn't too keen on it.

i have an 'aquired version of xp. i want to run the download and install a genuine copy of windows vista from the market place.

its either 1gig download and 1gig upload.

Havnt got a clue how much were paying (dads paying)

The bios emulation trick is the latest one, I would call that a workaround but that would depend on what you defined a crack as, in that case they would be cracks yes, vista hasn't actually been cracked though.
