Can I convert my mechanical speedo drive to electronic? Only reason is I have a 1.4 sport and always thought they had electronic speedos

could be possible cause how do people get there digi dashes to work on a transducer thats electric not cable

yeah it can be done, you just have to take the electric speed sender off the gearbox of a car with electric speedo along with the necessary wiring loom. I'm planning on converting mine soon, so will post up a tutorial when its done.

its not as easy as just fitting the new loom, theres 3 wires, brown, black and blue/red.
the blue/red needs to be wired into the immobiliser circuit to get the correct pulse for the ecu. I can do a wiring diagram if you like?

my wirring on my corsa was already there just plug in the frequency transmiter even my friend car is already there they are 96 corsa the plug was hidden in black tape also the wire was going n the dash plug and also stereo area !!!!
