need some advice please.. my head gasket went on my corsa 1.6 16v sport.. the garage i went to be fixed.. got me 2nd hand engine .. wen i got the car back .. for some reason the car only tipped 90mph.. and limited way to early.. and today me and a friend was fiddling around and happened to notice my manifold .. well it looks from engine top view.. seems to be a vauxhall vectra 1.6 16v manifold, and it isnt fitted properly, due to a gap from the right hand side where its lifted cause basically doesnt fit right.. am confused because i dunno if i shud buy a 2nd hand corsa 1.6 16v manifold to fit properly, im not sure if its a vectra engine either? or doesnt it really matter ? wud the corsa manifold go straight on without problem plz help
p.s cant go back to the dodgy garage due to they went bank rupt so need advice as much as possible thanks

also .. the car doesnt idle properly.. at times, the car will limit around 4 revs.. which isnt right, but will go right the way to full limit but the speed just isnt there

Oh dear, noticed you said they are bankrupt. Not really surprised doing shit like that. I'm pretty sure the X16XEL uses the X14XE head, which has smaller ports IIRC. It produces less power than the X16XE and doesn't respond to tuning as well either. Personally, I think it's a step down. Why did they replace the whole engine if it was only a blown H/G??
