My corsa (c14se) is idling at 2000rpm.

I assume the idle control valve has stuck open?

if it's stuck open, removes it and clean it with carb cleaner.

also put a little through the inlet.

no, idle is when the engine is running without the throttle being open etc

Mine idles at 900-1000, That about normal?

thats nmormal it's between about 800-1000 odd.

Miles.. saying a car is idling is the same as saying it is ticking over...


the problem cured itself, it did it all the way home from work aswell as too work this morning, then i gathered the tools and a spare icv that i've had and it just stopped and starting running fine!!

its done this once before thats why i have a spare icv, so this time i changed it anyway, i've changed it before also as i kept getting an ecu fault for the icv. but as the problem had cured i dont know if it was deffinatly the icv this time, i know that its deffinatly not an airleak, allthough could be the tps i hadnt thought of this before, we'll see if the problem comes back (again)

i also am having this problem i know i have a little air leak where my filter meets the pipe but mine rises to 2500rpm and stays there
