a loose live or earth !! take the stereo out and check the wiring if thats ok check the fuses inc the one in the back of the radio

im gona say loose power wire somewhere at the back of the unit...or the unit is gubbed...

wont be worth getting it fixed as it will cost me loads..
there cant me much wrong if its powering up though can there?

Like people have said, it's probably a loose connection/dodgy live and such. Probably nothing wrong with the head unit, just its connections.
