hi people ive put a 1.6 engine from an astra mk4 i was told its the egine with inlet manifold all as 1 if u understand that i do ave a pic ill try and post it but i need an ecu and chip but im not sure if its an x16xe or x16xel wats the difference?

Yeh, it's the X16XEL. Only difference bewtween the X16XE and the X16XEL is the inlet manifold IIRC. Think the the X16XE is about 4-5bhp more too.

The X16XEL has a different inlet that produces more torque, but less BHP. 
 
It is an X16XE bottom end with a X14XE head.  The head has smaller ports than an X16XE. 
 
The L is for lower output.
