my car puts itself into self drive mode when i change gear the rev limeter goes quickly up tp 7000 rev then i have to break? could thid be a loose conection somewhere?

either a vacuum leak around the manifold, or a sticking ICV, although the ICV usually has the habit of making the engine stall, not the other way round...

try the rubber pipe that connects the inlet to the throttlebody (i think) that had split on one i did and this was the cause
