it is coming on when the car is slowing down but never stays on for any length of time.
Any ideas what the problem mite be

It could be anything mate, get it tested by vaux, will save you money compared to having guesses made on here, noone can be sure, theres so many comon faults on the 12v

Idle valve......mine started like this, only came on as the revs were dropping, them turned off then i was gaining speed again.
