My girlfriend has a 1994 Corsa GSI.
Every now and then the idle speed increases to around 2000rpm.
The revs increase if buttons are pressed (like turning the heater on full blast for example).
Sometimes turning the engine off then starting it again can get the revs back down to normal???
Any ideas?

Idle Control Valve, Is the engine management light comming on?

I had this before was air leak in the throttle body to inlet maifold pipe causing it
