on my mates XE the throttle butterfly doesnt seem to be opening properly, i havent seen it myself but he says when the engine is off its opening fine. But with the engine running only the small throttle is opening, the main one doesnt move at all.

because of this the car is extemely sluggish and running very rich.

If the cable's not pulling, then the main butterfly won't open.

Just had a look, doesnt seem to be anything mechanically wrong with the throttle cable/linkage/butterfly.

On mine when i rev it, the small throttle is open to 2k rpm then the main one begins to open, on stus the engines doing over 4k on the small throttle

The ecu light isnt on but he does have a superchip, im thinking this is the fault....???

I dont think a superchip would change the mechanical opening of a throttle body, lol. It sounds cable related.

Well, a chip cannot alter the characteristics of a pedal controlled cable driven throttle. The issue most likely lies in an issue with the spring on the linkage, the linkage itself or the cable.
