i have a 1.2 corsa on a m plate and iam looking for a back box for it. so far i haven't found one second hand. so now iam looking new, which make would be best to go for? i have been looking at peco but i have heard mixed reports about them. can anyone help?

peco are s**t, if its sound your aftre then rage are a good box, others like sebring and magnex are good boxes but it depends on what you want to sprd, i have a 3.5" rage at the minute, untill i get myself a full stainless system!! but that sounds nice and looks the bizz

I had a Peco BB2 & cat-back system on my old corsa for well over 2 years without a problem, the only thing which rusted was the mounts, but a quick scrub down with an iron brush & paint of hammerite soon solved that! sounded ok, not too loud or quite, nice note & not raspy either
I did get a Rage SP-11 as I fancied a change in tailpipes & had it linked to the peco cat-back system & the rage was loud, but also sounded a bit raspy above 4.5k

I DONT DOUBT THE FULL SYSTEM, BUT I WOULD DEFINATLY NOT RECCOMMEND ANYONE TO GET A PECO BACKBOC ON THEIR OWN, I HAD A PECO BB4 ON MY OLD CORSA, IT SOUNDED CRAP AND QUIET, JUST SOUNDED LIKE IT WAS BLOWING AND I DONT THINK IT LOOKED VERY GOOD (sorry bout the caps lock when i realised, i had wrote too much so i couldnt be arsed to retype it)

BB4's are shite tho - the sound from the BB2 was the best out of the range  plus looks much better!

yea but thats down to how its been put on cus rage dont come with any clamps or hangers etc, im like my rage though, sounds nice and rumbly

so we now think peco are shit and rage are good. personally i dont like rage and would prefer a monza or something else off the scop' range! would it be worth saveing up for one? also sportx? anygood?

Peco arent shit, in fact when tested it was rated a lot higher than ANY other make back box. Sam has a Peco bb4 on her 1.2 16v SXi, looks good and sounds nice and not raspy, and my Dad has a sportex on his Fiesta and that sounds nice too. IMHO, save the cash and wait for a full Stainless system, I had my stainless cat back system for £220 and a De-cat pipe for £50 (Longlife)

sportex are WANK big time! i had one on my old mk3 astra, the baffles went in the center box within 3weeks, ok i got a new center section free but that didnt last long, sounded chit, looked shit and fitted shit! damn why did i buy that!

Got a cat-back for mine and it fits like a glove and sounds sweet.
Cant fault them whatsoever.
