Hi,

Decided I'm going to be doing a bit of interior decorating and will be spraying the door pockets/centre console and a few other things silver. My question is, what kind of paint should I use, where can I get it from and whats the best technique?

normal spray paint, in a can that ya would use to spray the outside, one tip i can give ya is sand very very well, this is cos the interior gets cleaned with all sorts of cleaning products and they contain silicon and all different chemicals that will react with the paint, so sand every thing smooth, use plastic primer on plastic and take ya time, halfords paint is very good i find

patients and lots of it, i would say, 400, 600, 800,1200 grid sand paper, start priming the plastic trim after ya smoothed the texture out of the plastic and have owrked down to 600-800 grit paper, do a few coats sainding lightly between coats, untill ya got a smooth even coat, then apply top coat and sand super smooth with 1200 grit paper between coats, use water with the sand paper for a smoother finish, wait 15-20 minutes between coats, ya can laquer on top of the paint for a more durable finish, with metalic paint laquer is a must
