Heres a pic of my motor with 50mm pi springs and gmax dampers. Bumpy as a bastard and has nearly bumped me into a hedge before.

Love how low that looks. but hate the ride quality.

If it crashes over bumps then your spring rate is too weak... you need stiffer springs with a higher poundage. Also you are not running the correct bumpstops if its 'banging' in bumps - the bumpstops are their to stop the dampers bottoming out which cause the bang. At 60mm things are tight, no real room for a good bumpstop to cusion the blows and the car rides in the bumpstops too often. Im being serious when I say coilovers would solve your problems. Ive ran allsorts of suspension setups over the years on my corsa and once I got onto coilovers the change was incredible!!

I say for 40mm or above you want good uprated springs and dampers and below 40mm coilovers as uprated dampers are just not short enough!

i also had the decision as whether to fork out the extra for the Eibachs

and getting them was the best decision ever

ride quality is immense, about 10 fold over the std setup, and the handling is immense.

well worth the extra you pay for them

only problem with the Eibach springs is the price I can afford to buy them but then dont have enough cash left over to get the shocks to match! I dont really want to get just springs cos heard they can handle worse than standard set up. Will eibach shocks or koni shocks be better with eibach springs? if they really are that good then i might have to save a bit longer for them!

Eibachs are designed in such a way that they can be used with ur standard shocks, and will gibe an excellent ride and last for quite a while!

Do that, then just save for the matching bilstiens that arnt even that expensive!

In the words of Gambit.....It will be an immense ride!

Its not reccomended to use the eibach -50mm springs with standard dampers, only he -30mm Pro-kit ones.

And Gmax damper r shite, i had some but changed em for the Apex ones which are still cheap but r loads better. Coilovers are the way forward once i can afford them...

Eg. COBRA Coilovers
